Despite the false teachings of The Game and its fedora-tipping pickup artist disciples, negging can not and will not get you laid, a life lesson one body-shaming Instagrammer recently learned the hard way after attempting to dunk on pop star Madison Beer.
"Hey Madison I've noticed that ur legs and arms are getting fatter," Instagrammer @hamzakwj wrote in a since-deleted comment under a selfie the pop star shared on Sunday. "Please do some cardio because we men only like skinny girls. Ur face is already perfect, but please we love a thin-waisted girl."
Madison Beer claps back at body shamer in her Instagram comments:

Though Beer immediately and flawlessly roasted @hamzakwj — "I wouldn't touch you with a 10 ten foot pole if you paid me a million dollars," she fired back — the commenter was less-than-thrilled with this response, taking to his story to offer several definitely-not-CYA mea culpas towards the singer.
“Hey Madison maybe you should know that I’m already depressed,” he wrote, describing himself as “bipolar” and “extremely depressed,” as if mental illnesses absolve him of being a jerk on the internet.

But even after dubbing the 24-year-old his “biggest crush,” @hamzakwj doubled down on this negging, taking aim at the “Good In Goodbye” artist’s work.
“I always supported u even tho ur songs aren’t that good,” he said .”I thought u were a good human being. U can’t just say this to ur fans. That's for making me more sad, Madison. Thank a lot.”
In true reply guy fashion, @hamzakwj also shared a screengrab depicting several unread DMs he had sent Beer reiterating the above points.
Much like Beer herself, the musician’s fanbase wasn’t phased by these half-assed apologies, continuing to call @hamzakwj out on social media.
“Men are so fucking annoying,” wrote @xoglossier alongside screengrabs of the interaction.

“Men will lack in A LOT of necessary things but they will never lack in having the AUDACITY to tell a woman completely outta their league what she should and shouldn’t look like,” added @mrsnanami2_0.
Meanwhile, @poisonforkuzco posed the question on everyone’s mind: “Why do men think it’s acceptable to comment on a woman’s body?”
As the old adage goes, if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all — lest you deservedly end up on the very wrong side of a pop star fandom.
